Five habits that decide the quality of the work.

We look in the browser

A passing build does not mean a working screen. The most damaging breakages in the panel only showed up in a real browser, so we put eyes on every screen.

We write it reversible

Theme in its own layer, module in its own project, change in its own commit. Undoing something you dislike takes minutes, not months.

We do not guess

We measure before quoting time or price. No day count before the migration report — and the dates we do give, we meet.

We ask the data

Menu and button placement is decided by where users click, not by opinion. How that works

AltCommerce is not a from-scratch experiment. The hard, tedious parts of commerce — tax, shipping, multi-store, permissions, localisation — are solved by a core that has been running in production for years.

The value we add is not reinventing that foundation: it is writing the integrations this region needs, building the interface against usage data, and putting permission-scoped AI on top.
